Pulp are pleased to announce a series of shows for 2023, including headlining Latitude festival & London’s Finsbury Park. “Three months ago, we asked, What exactly do you do for an encore?” “Well… An encore happens when the crowd makes enough noise to bring the band back to the stage. So…We are playing in the UK & Ireland in 2023. Therefore… Come along & make some noise. See you there ” – Jarvis Cocker October 2022
At Festival Republic we aim to create an event that’s truly accessible for all. Festival Republic has a dedicated Access Team working all year round to constantly improve the experience for Access Customers and can be found at the access check-in ready to help.
Applying for Access
In order to provide the best possible experience, we ask that everyone who wishes to use the access facilities at Pulp Finsbury Park to complete and submit an Access Requirements Form. Please note applications close two weeks before the event.
The Access Requirements Form
When applying for access at this show we ask that you provide one of the following forms of documentation which will act as evidence of your requirements. Without this documentation, we will be unable to grant you access or provide PA Tickets (at no additional cost). Please note: If you are on the Festival Republic access database (i.e. have previously applied and ticked yes to join our database when you were approved within the last three years) you may not need to re-supply documentation.
DLA (Care and/or mobility)
PIP (Personal Independence Payment)
A Medical professional’s letter (To be reviewed case by case)
Armed Forces Independence Payment
War Disablement Pension
D/deaf or blind registration
The Nimbus Access Card
Blue Badge (Permitted for parking requests only)
All submitted documentation is kept strictly confidential and securely destroyed after processing.
If you do not have one of the forms of documentation listed above, please contact us and we’ll be able to advise further. Alternatively, if you do have the required documentation but are unable to include it in your application, please let us know that you will forward it to us (by email or post) in the Additional Notes section on the form.
Whilst submitting your application form, you can choose to join Festival Republic’s Access Database. By doing so, once accepted a first time, you will not need to resubmit documentation for a further three years and will be pre-approved for access at our festivals – although we still need you to fill out an Access Requirements Form for each show you attend.
Please note: Once approved we will only retain your name and email address. We will never use your information for any other purposes (unless specifically stated) or share this with any third parties.
We aim to process all applications within 4 – 6 weeks of customers submitting an Access Requirements Form; however, due to demand, this is not always possible. Once your application has been approved we will send a confirmation email, detailing the facilities you have requested access to, and confirming your PA Ticket (if applicable). Nearer the event, successful applicants will also be sent an email containing an Access Guide.
The closing date for Access Requirement Forms is Monday 12th June. Applications submitted after this may not receive a reply from the team.
If applications have closed and you feel you cannot attend without the support of the access team, please contact us and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Please note: that due to capacity, we are unable to accommodate access facilities requests such as the viewing platform so close to the event.
Companion/ Personal Assistant (PA) Tickets
If a customer is unable to attend this event without support from a Companion/PA then we will provide an additional ticket at no extra cost. You can apply for a Companion Ticket when completing your Access Requirements Form.
Please note: You do not need to purchase a Companion Ticket, however, Access Customers will need to purchase a ticket for themselves before applying. We are unable to refund tickets purchased for Companion. The Companion must be willing and able to perform all requirements as needed by you (the access customer) and must provide assistance to you during an evacuation or other emergency. If a child or teen requires a PA Ticket, please contact us directly so we can advise.
An accessible viewing platform and toilets are provided at this show. These are controlled by a wristband system and managed by the Access Arena Manager. To ensure it runs smoothly on the platform and at check-in, each location has its own team of stewards and security.
Accessible Viewing Platforms
All platforms have ramp access, wheelchair-accessible toilets, and charging points. Limited seating is also available at each platform.
As platforms have a limited capacity these are strictly for access customers, plus one (1) companion. If you have several people attending the festival with you, you may swap your plus one on the platform as many times as you like during the day.
We operate our platforms on a first come, first served basis, and, whilst we try to ensure that we have sufficient space for everyone, demand varies by artist and at times there may be a wait.
Wheelchair-accessible and standard toilets are located at our viewing platform.
BSL Interpreting Services
A performance interpreting service will be provided on request by fully qualified interpreters from Performance Interpreting. Please make sure you request this service on the Access Requirements Form (see applying for access tab).
Full performance interpreting schedules will be included in our Access Guide, along with details and the location of our information and welfare service available for D/deaf customers at this show.
Hearing loops will be installed at the accessible check-in. Exact locations will be shown in the Access Guide.
If you require medication to be stored in the fridge, please fill out the Access Requirements Form to request this. You can find the form in the Applying for Access section.
Who Can Apply?
If you feel you cannot attend without the support of The Access Team, then please contact us and we will be able to assist further. Supporting documentation will be required please see Applying for Access tab for further information.
Unfortunately, we are not able to assist people with temporary impairments such as broken bones, healing injuries, or pregnancy. Please see the Temporary Impairments tab.
Please note: that our access provisions are unable to facilitate requests from people with temporary impairments such as broken bones, healing injuries or pregnant women.
If you have a temporary impairment, please be aware that there will be a lot of walking at this show.
Travel & Arrival
We strongly advise planning your journey before leaving for Pulp at Finsbury Park. Specific travel information will be sent out via email to access customers prior to the event.
Everyone who successfully applies for access at this show will be sent an Access Guide (via email) prior to the event. This will include detailed access information specific to the event.
The Access Guide includes:
Site Changes and Updates
Access Maps (including route distances, charging points, accessible toilet, platform locations, and more)
Access Facilities and more!
We recommend saving (or printing if preferred) a copy of our Access Guide for your own reference (once available). No hard copies will be available on-site.
Smoke machines, strobe lights, lasers, fireworks, and other effects may be in use at this event. Anyone affected by these should bear this in mind.
If you need to bring medication with you, we recommend bringing a copy of your doctor’s letter or prescription. Please keep the medication in its original boxes. There will also be a fridge available if you require cold storage for your medication.
Medical and Welfare
Medical and Welfare Facilities are available throughout the entire event and are clearly signposted. Doctors, paramedics, first aiders, and fully equipped ambulances are based at our medical facilities, along with contacts for local pharmacies and emergency dentists.
Security and Stewards
Security and Stewards are on hand in and around the festival.
They have been briefed to offer information, help, and support. If you are unwell or require assistance, please approach a member of the Security and Stewarding Team who are clearly identifiable by their numbered tabards/shirts.
In the instance of a site evacuation please ensure that your PA is aware that they are your main point of assistance in an emergency evacuation. Security and stewards located near the viewing platform will assist in moving everybody to a place of safety.
